You probably should. Start now and then s/he will join you in about 6-9 months time (after the search, interview, 3-month notice period and a month off between jobs.)
Then, you've got 2-3 months before s/he is really able to add value and take things off your shoulders; initial onboarding will require MORE time-investment from you.
Also, fast growing startups have such variation in what you need in leadership skills and when, EG: say you're now 20 people and €500k ARR, doubling your client base every 6 months - in 18 months you're going to need to support €2m ARR with new systems, management and so many new faces you can't learn all their names... your leadership team will need to support totally different challenges now vs. then, and not everyone can adapt or acquire the skills to meet demand. By opting for an interim partner, you can execute what's needed now and identify what you'll need to hire the right person after the next milestone.
Minimum of 4 weeks for the quick scan and roadmap.
Maximum circa 1 year for interim COO & transition coaching; our purpose is to get you up and running on your own, not to be reliant on us.
We're SaaS focussed across industries... the specialised generalist! Our niche is around company size and speed of growth; typically 2-3 years old, suddenly scaling faster than comfortable and ready for (more) investment.
